What Is Your Primary Reason For Entering The Challenge?
Finally staying on track with eating healthy and working out consistently! And of course to loose those 10 to 15 pound that have crept up in the last few years since I had my son.
About Me:
I am a working mom, so life gets very busy and my workouts suffer. I am fairly athletic, but tend to get a little lazy, so I am looking forward to the support and "kick in the butt". And maybe I can inspire my overweight husband to eat better and join me???

Hi Annette! thanks for stopping by my page. You asked how long it took for me to be diagnosed. Well I've had a suspicion since I was in my late 20s. When I had the TSH level test done it was at "4." Back then the acceptable thyroid levels were anything below 6. Endocrinoligists now treat anything above "3." Conventional doctors don't know that though so even though someone may be exhibiting symptoms, a general practitioner will probably not treat the thyroid. It wasn't until I started feeling exhausted during my last stab at losing weight that I felt I needed to get serious help. I went through some medication experiments with my GP until I got fed up and looked elsewhere. I finally found a wellness clinic that would prescribe Armour and I've been feeling much better ever since. I would say it took about 9 months to finally get on track. All my gynecologist or family doctor wanted to do was switch birth control pills... that really was NO fun! If I wasn't so nosey and stubborn I would probably still be miserable. I found www.stopthethyroidmadness.com and it really literally changed my life! How is your husband doing? Is he taking Armour thyroid? I tried the synthetic thyroid meds but they didn't agree with me.
