What Is Your Primary Reason For Entering The Challenge?
To look and feel great by the time I turn 50 in August!
About Me:
I have a great husband, no kids, three cats and a full time job in a hospital. Two years ago I went back to college to finish my degree and I finally graduated last December. Having a college degree was a dream realized, but while I was improving my brain my body suffered from lack of activity and I gained weight. Now, I have to focus on my body!

I'm still here.....

Hello everyone. I hope you all had a lovely Easter weekend. Like Dax said, it was hard resisting the candy and treats, but I did resist.

Both of my parents are in the hospital and need my help right now, so it is quite a challenge doing the exercises, but so far so good. I just have to travel with my weights and workout clothes and duck in the bathroom to exercise. The biggest challenge is sticking to the eating time schedule of every 3 hours or so and working in the walking. But, I'm not going… Continue

I'm losing my pants!

Well, I've followed the Challenge faithfully for three full weeks and my pants won't stay up! I can literally pull them down without unsnapping them. Wow. It's great motivation to keep on going. Is everyone else hanging in there?

Hello!

I just wanted to tell everyone hello and good luck on the challenge! I'm really excited and mentally ready to begin. I've already completed 21 days of Dax's Elimination Diet that he started on January 1st, so I've already broken my caffiene and sugar addiction. I can't believe it, but I no longer crave bread, sweets, coffee or colas. Dax was right - by the end of the 21 days, the cravings were gone and I didn't even want to reintroduce those things in my diet. I've already seen a noticable impro… Continue

How are the pants doing this week Teresa?
I missed a couple of days exercises and am now back on track for la week. I am enjoying the challenge of the more intensive routines and have a few aches and pains catching up on what I missed.

Hey Teresa
All good thanks...I did think everyone else had go off to Bali with Dax too... It got kind of quiet for a bit.
I have had house guests for last ten days and have been busy sightseeing and going for big walks . The diet is fine although I admit to missing out on a couple of evening exercise routines.
Will make up for it again as all is nearly back to normal and I aim to get to bed earlier too
Weight wise lost about 1kg this week and more off hips and my stomach is at last starting to join in less reluctantly with the exercise effort...LOL
Thats a blessing in itself...
How about you?
Thats brilliant news about the pants keep at it girl.
My favourite old jeans are back in service again after a few months retirement and look very baggy on the butt and I dont need to unzip them
Have a great week

Hi again Teresa
I have had a few enquiries about self-hypnosis on our challenge pages from other members too.
I thought the best thing was to post some links for everyone to use. Just look at my new blog posted today,14 feb and clink on links to review what interests you.
yes self talfk is a sort of self hypnosis, good to hear to give yourself nice talk.Sadly so many of us tend to say awful things to ourselves that can then attract failure and low self esteem to us, like a self fulfilling prophesy.. as does good talk improve us and boosts us.

Thanks Mena, I was just thinking of inspirational messages about staying focused, reaching goals, "you are strong" type of things. I also play yoga music sometimes to help keep my pace slow and breathing steady, so I was looking for something that was in that kind of relaxing, gentle tone. Basically, I'm trying to brainwash myself. Is that what self-hypnosis is?? Please don't go to too much trouble - I just
thought you might already know of something from your hynosis website. Thanks, Teresa

Hows the challenge going otherwise?
Im finding that some foods just dont agree with me and am giving them up....grains or pulses, which I enjoy but now that my system is cleaner find them heavy and difficult to digest.
Im also walking for 20 minutes each morning and my daily steps are now averaging 12 000 so I am pleased with myself.I lost 1pound this week and a bit more off my butt.
One of my sons took my photos at weekend and I hope to put them on the blog soon.Ive seen better days...LOL

Hi Theresa, I see you are the same age as I am. I too am trying to get fit for my big 50 birthday. Mine is in May so I have less time. That's great to hear that you made it through 21 days of the elimination diet. I can't wait until I'm further along and start to lose my cravings.
