90 Days To A New You!

I can't believe it's been almost 20 days since I posted a blog. I have been very faithful to the diet and I'm holding my own in the weight category. Our week of "active rest" was much needed; however, it came the week before I left for a week of scuba diving and therefore, I have now had two weeks without Dax's exercises. Obviously, scuba diving is somewhat physical, but not to "bulding muscle" like our exercises. I did have some trouble staying 100% ED friendly at our location in Roatan, Honduras just beause my selections were so limited. I gained two pounds while we were gone, but after just two days back, that weight is gone. I'm home for this week and then I'm off to Scottsdale,AZ for a week long course with Jack Canfield. So, I guess that will be my next to last week of the challenge.

While I do feel that I have done well - losing 12 lbs. and several inches - I know that I could have done better if "life wasn't so complex" pulling me is so many directions. Long work hours, considering remodeling of Kitchen, preparing for and taking vacations (not that I'm complaining), catching up when you return from a trip, etc. Maybe this course next week will help teach me how to do to a better job of balancing such a hectic life.

I am certain that will continue with my current eating habits even after the "challenge" is over. I rarely have caffiene - probably 2 or 3 times in the last 74 days. I never eat sugar in anything intentionally although occasionally I probably consume it unknowlingly in a dressing, etc. I did have one slice of toast last week with peanut butter but for the most part I have not consumed wheat in 74 days. Alcohol is less tempting than in the past, but I can not say that it will be out of my diet completely in the future. Processed food hasn't been a part of my life for quite sometime. I occasionally have a small glass of milk or a little cheese, but I do limit these significantly.

I have to get back on the exercise bandwagon.

More to come.

Hi Karen,

I know what you mean about thinking that you could have done better, but the way I thought of it was that I did really well to achieve what I acheived as everything going on in my life made it harder. That's the way you should look at it too. What you have achieved is fantastic. It's great to hear that you will be continuing with the eating after the challenge. Look forward to hearing your final results.

Karen,
Good to hear from you... I am once again in Chicago...traveled yesterday which as you know was not a good day in the MidWest...left my house at 8 am and finally got to the hotel at 1 am today..
Were you impacted by the storms and tornados? I hope not. It was quite the light show as I drove from O'Hare Airport to my destination...
Hard to believe you have two weeks left on your challenge....Goes by fast.
I am still holding the same weight, and testing some foods... I ate a bit more bread this past week, but felt bloated so I think I will just let that go.... I will try and blog later this week just because...
Sounds like your dive trip was awesome...have a great rest of your week.
